It isn’t the biggest need, but who are six linebackers the Minnesota Vikings could potentially select during this year’s NFL Draft?
The Minnesota Vikings have five picks in the first three rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft. With these choices, it’s highly unlikely they use any of them to select a linebacker. The Vikings simply have much bigger needs to address with their early picks this year.
When it comes to the linebacker position, Minnesota is in good shape heading into the draft. They have an exceptional group of starters that include Anthony Barr, Eric Kendricks, and Eric Wilson.
The depth behind the Vikings’ starters is the biggest question mark as there is the solid, but underwhelming Ben Gedeon, second-year man Cameron Smith who may or may not make the team, and XFL signee Demarquis Gates, who like Smith, is no lock to make the 2020 squad.
Minnesota will be looking to create some competition for these depth spots during the draft and they will likely wait until Day 3 to address the position. So who are six linebackers the Vikings could potentially draft this year?
