Jalen Hurts – QB

Jalen Hurts is a guy who is easy to root for. He’s an energetic player whose teammates love playing with. He also tends to win wherever he goes and he is a guy who can make plays with his legs in addition to his arm.

Hurts opened some eyes at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine. He threw the ball much better than many scouts expected and he showed good accuracy and touch on his passes. He also impressed in interviews with teams and showed a higher football I.Q. than some expected.

Hurts has a very high ceiling and he has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks to come out of this class. He isn’t going to see the field as early as a Joe Burrow, or Justin Herbert. But after a year or two of development, he should be ready to contribute.

If he does hit his high ceiling, he’ll be a dual-threat quarterback and a tough player to try to defend. The Vikings would hate to have to face him twice a year and their fans would hate seeing him don the colors of the Bears, Lions, or Packers.

With Hurts expecting to be selected sometime in the second round, there is a decent chance he ends up in the NFC North as every team in the division could look to take a quarterback in this year’s draft.
