Yasir Durant (Missouri)

Measurements:

  • Height: 6-foot-6 | Weight: 331 pounds

Yasir Durant has all the elements of his game you are looking for in an NFL offensive lineman. What has come under serious question during his time in college is the player’s work ethic and his determination to make a success of his outstanding talent.

He is nothing short of a man-mountain that has the ability to provide fierce resistance needed at the next level. Durant showcased his enormous potential on countless occasions during his college career against pass-rushers who have gone on to become a hit in the NFL.

Durant has quick feet considering his size and positions himself well in running and passing situations. His leverage is also a tool he utilizes frequently to good effect.

The player does find things a little difficult when defensive ends go inside on him. This is something he will need to address as NFL pass-rushers figure this sort of thing out in double-quick time.

He does have a tendency to suffer from a lack of confidence when he gets beat on a play. Durant also needs to show more determination finishing his blocks and work harder to make every down count in the pros.

Depending on how the prospect has interviewed during the evaluation process, he could go anywhere from rounds 3-5. If the Vikings can install their committed ethos into Durant from the outset if they choose to select him, the pick could become a real steal.
