Sixth Round (Pick No. 208)

Reggie Robinson II – CB (Tulsa)

As a converted safety prospect, Robinson could fill multiple roles for the Vikings. However, his most probable spot would be as an outside corner after developing nicely during his four seasons as a Golden Hurricane.

At 6-foot-1 and 202 pounds, Robinson has the size that Mike Zimmer loves in his outside corners. With the bonus of being a physical corner, Zimmer will probably feel like he hit the lottery this late in the draft. Plus, he can tackle as well, meaning he could help solve the void that Trae Waynes left behind in stopping the run.

The downside is that Robinson didn’t play well during this year’s Senior Bowl, recording just an eight percent win rate in practice. But, that doesn’t bring into account his senior season, where he recorded three interceptions.

As a player with more tools than technique, putting him in Zimmer’s tutelage should be a good way to help him get over the hump and provide the Vikings with a nice developmental prospect.
