Dane Jackson – CB (Pitt)

Measurements:

  • Height: 6-feet | Weight: 187 pounds

2019 Stats:

  • 43 tackles
  • 12 pass breakups
  • 1 interception

Dane Jackson is another player who put up incredible numbers in college but is flying a bit under the radar. He recorded 39 career pass breakups, including 26 over his final two seasons with the Panthers. Can he be a late-round steal on draft weekend?

Jackson was phenomenal at Pitt, but he had his share of struggles with penalties. With NFL coaching at his disposal, he should be able to clean up his technique and avoid the late grabs that hurt him so often in college. On the bright side, Jackson loves to turn and run or play physically at the line.

There is no shortage of confidence in Jackson’s game and he will let you know about it. He gets into the chest while adding good instinctual jumps to make plays down the field.

He is still a work in progress, but Jackson can be a solid special teamer and developmental cornerback.
