Salvon Ahmed – RB (Washington)

  • Height: 5-foot-11 | Weight: 197 pounds

2019 Stats:

  • 188 rushes
  • 1,020 yards (5.4 average)
  • 11 touchdowns

Salvon Ahmed is one of the best runners in this class and he deserves a lot more recognition. He is excellent in space once he hits that second gear and gets into the secondary.

Ahmed is one of the best backs in the draft when it comes to changing speeds and hitting the hole. His second gear is phenomenal, making him a threat to burst through the line or beat the defender to the edge.

The Vikings love to get their running backs involved in the screen game whenever they can. Ahmed is a great receiving threat out of the backfield and can create after the catch. In a limited role in the NFL, Ahmed could be a dangerous chess piece that can keep defenses on their toes.

Playing small is a bit of a concern for Ahmed as he enters the NFL. He will not offer much in short-yardage situations or as a downfield receiver, but he can do basically anything else you ask out of him.
