Appalachian State has one of the best Group of Five football programs in the nation. Darrynton Evans was a huge reason for their success in 2019 as the primary running back. He racked up 23 total touchdowns in his final season, adding five in the passing game.

Evans is quick on his feet and electric with the ball in his hands. He can turn any play into a big gain or even a score. His ability to make defenders miss in space and keep a good pad level through the line are what make him stand out.

There is plenty to like about Darrynton Evans as a contributing player in the NFL. He can be utilized in the screen game or put back as a returner to shore up that need for the Vikings. Evans returned three kickoffs for touchdowns over his collegiate career while averaging 25.7 yards per return.

Darrynton Evans is definitely a name to remember for the 2020 NFL Draft and beyond.
