JaMycal Hasty – RB (Baylor)

Measurements:

  • Height: 5-foot-8 | Weight: 205 pounds

2019 Stats:

  • 109 rushes
  • 627 yards (5.8 average)
  • 7 touchdowns

JaMycal Hasty was in a crowded backfield at Baylor but had his best season in 2019. He accumulated 811 all-purpose yards and a career-high seven touchdowns as a redshirt senior. A lack of production will keep him from being a notable draft pick, but his talent speaks for itself.

Hasty offers elite acceleration and a ton of shiftiness in space or out of the backfield. He excels at changing direction and hitting the burners into the open field. While he was not a feature back at Baylor, he was a dynamic weapon when he was needed the most.

Since 2017, Hasty recorded at least 25 receptions and 75 carries in every season for the Bears. He does not have a lot of tread on the tires and has shown he is more than capable of being a dual-threat back.

Hasty could be the perfect backup to Cook and Mattison because he resembles them both in his game.
