Raymond Calais – RB (Louisiana)

Measurements:

  • Height: 5-foot-8 | Weight: 188 pounds

2019 Stats:

  • 117 rushes
  • 886 yards (7.6 average)
  • 6 touchdowns

Raymond Calais is a home run waiting to happen when he touches the ball. He averaged 7.8 yards per carry throughout his collegiate career at Louisiana, including a 9.3 average as a junior in 2018. Calais also brings plenty of experience as a special teamer, further increasing his immediate value to an NFL roster.

Over four years, Raymond Calais returned 99 kickoffs for an average of 25.2 yards and took two of them back for scores. He projects as a dynamic weapon on special teams who can create a bit on the offensive side of the ball.

It may make some sense for the Vikings to draft Calais or sign him as an undrafted free agent. He can take the place of Ameer Abdullah if the Vikings decide to cut him and create a tad bit of cap space.
