Alton Robinson (Syracuse)

Measurements:

  • Height: 6-foot-3 | Weight: 264 pounds

2019 Stats:

  • 46 total tackles
  • 9 tackles for a loss
  • 4 sacks

The numbers aren’t going to make anyone say “wow” about Alton Robinson‘s game, but his profile is one that fits into what the Minnesota Vikings like to do during the draft.

Robinson’s athletic profile is one that should have Vikings scouts drooling. His 4.69s 40-yard dash ranked in the 87th percentile among this year’s class and while his short speed and power need developing, he still has the explosiveness to get to the quarterback.

There’s also a sense of power to his game, which saw him put up 25 reps at the combine. With the hope that the Vikings can make him stronger in their conditioning program, Robinson could be a nice fit behind Odenigbo and Hunter to become the next developmental lineman to take over.

Again, the on-field numbers aren’t great. But with a toolbox that can be used to improve his development, this is a target worth watching.
