Seventh Round (Pick No. 219)

Alex Taylor – OT (South Carolina State)

Alex Taylor is a name that will stick around for a while in the NFL. He has incredible size and length at left tackle, checking in at 6-foot-8 and 308 pounds with 36-inch arms. He comes from a small school, so his leap to the NFL will be difficult at a premium position.

This late in the draft, you have to pull the trigger on a player like Taylor based on his upside and traits. He was invited to the Senior Bowl and looked solid against top talent in this draft class.

We all know the Minnesota Vikings need to clean up the offensive line, but you cannot expect an immediate starter at this point in the draft. Instead, they can find a future replacement for Riley Reiff and let Taylor sit for a year or two before taking over.

I see Alex Taylor was one of the most exciting and polarizing prospects in this class. There is a real chance he becomes a dominant left tackle at the next level if he is coached up.
