Seventh Round (Pick No. 249)

Tremayne Anchrum – OT/OG (Clemson)

Minnesota is just adding depth and developmental players along the offensive line at the end of the draft. Tremayne Anchrum was a solid player at Clemson but has a lot of potential as a mauling run blocker inside. His technique and processing stand out on film, making him a good pile-mover at the line.

Anchrum played tackle at Clemson but will need to slide inside to guard in the NFL. He is not a strong athlete and he really struggles to keep his footing as he pulls into space. His hands are also a huge concern, but that can be fixed with proper coaching and NFL reps.

As the Minnesota Vikings try to run the ball, it makes sense to find powerful run creators to fit their offensive line. Anchrum fits that idea to a degree, but he is not the ideal athlete for their scheme.
