Minnesota Vikings Draft 2020: Final seven-round mock draft
By Luke Parrish
First Round (Pick No. 25)
Kristian Fulton – CB (LSU)
The Vikings decide to double-dip on LSU Tigers and get one of the best cornerbacks in this draft. Kristian Fulton is one of the more underrated players in this draft despite being a first-round pick on all accounts. His ability to mirror receivers at the line and read route concepts on the outside is off the charts.
The senior defensive back also provides value in this draft due to his experience in a year where summer workouts might be canceled. If teams cannot get rookies in for workouts before training camp, experience will be more important than ever.
Fulton times his breaks well and communicates with his teammates before and after the snap. His footwork in press coverage will be loved by Mike Zimmer and he would be an immediate starter on a depleted secondary. At pick 25, Fulton would be a steal for the Vikings given their current roster.
Kristian Fulton is a Mike Zimmer player, in my opinion, because of his instincts, patience, and ball skills. With a run on cornerbacks expected to come, the Minnesota Vikings have to go get their guy in this draft.
