Minnesota Vikings Draft 2020: Final seven-round mock draft
By Luke Parrish
Third Round (Pick No. 89)
Darrell Taylor – EDGE (Tennessee)
The Vikings can do some serious damage in the third round of the draft. With two picks at the end of the round, they can trade up and get a player they love, or they can sit back and let talent fall into their laps. Darrell Taylor is a developmental edge rusher with a ton of upside.
Taylor is built like a truck but has surprisingly good bend around the edge. He will be known for his ability to win the outside leverage and swipe the ball out of the quarterback’s hand. In his last three seasons at Tennessee, Taylor had 19.5 sacks while forcing six fumbles and batting seven passes at the line.
His length and quickness, when blended with his strong upper body, make him a stout pass rusher. The Minnesota Vikings still have enough talent on the defensive line to be scary, which not many fans seem to believe. Adding a player like Taylor gives them an outside rusher who has the size and strength to line up inside at times.
