Fourth Round (Pick No. 132)

Davion Taylor – LB (Colorado)

This is where things get really interesting for the Minnesota Vikings. At this point, they have addressed each of their glaring needs without reaching drastically up their board. Now, they sit in a position to take valuable players regardless of position or needs.

Let me introduce you to Davion Taylor, a freaky linebacker out of Colorado. Taylor is a track guy who posted a remarkable 4.49-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. He is explosive over the middle and tackles very well in space.

The Vikings do not have a need at linebacker, but Taylor offers speed and athleticism in the middle of the defense and could play an avenger role if they really wanted to maximize his talent.

Perhaps Anthony Barr will be used more as a pass rusher with Dom Capers on the coaching staff. That leaves an open spot in the second level of the defense. Davion Taylor is a bit raw as a prospect but has all of the tools you look for in a late pick. He could be a fun addition to the roster.
