Second Round (Pick No. 58)

Tee Higgins – WR (Clemson)

This year’s NFL Draft is supposedly full of dozens of talented receivers and this depth is something that should allow the Vikings to wait until the second round to add one.

With Stefon Diggs now out of the picture, Minnesota needs to find someone in the draft who can step in and be their No. 2 guy with Adam Thielen next season. After an impressive career at Clemson, Tee Higgins could be who the Vikings bring in to help make up for the loss of Diggs.

At 6-foot-4 and 216 pounds, Higgins is one of the biggest receivers available this year. Even as a rookie, he would be able to come in a be dangerous weapon for Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins to utilize in the red zone.

Higgins proved to be great in contested-catch situations during his time at Clemson and his catch radius is gigantic. He’s not a burner, but he has deceptive speed thanks to his length and he didn’t have a ton of trouble zipping by defenders to haul in deep balls during college.

For someone who has been compared to A.J. Green, landing someone like Higgins in the second round could potentially turn into a huge steal for the Vikings.
