Chad Beebe – WR

Chad Beebe probably thought his chances of making the team in 2020 were going to be better after the Vikings decided to trade Stefon Diggs to the Buffalo Bills in March.

But then Minnesota used two of their 2020 draft picks on new receivers and Beebe could end up being the odd man out this summer. Especially since one of the new pass-catchers the Vikings drafted (K.J. Osborn) is viewed by some as having a good shot at becoming the team’s punt returner next season.

Combine this with Minnesota also adding undrafted free agent Quartney Davis and signing veteran receiver Tajae Sharpe and Beebe’s chances to make the team this year aren’t looking very good.

However, Beebe has been in this position before. He was once the undrafted free agent who no one expected to earn a job with Minnesota. But he impressed during his reps in the preseason and training camp and found his way onto the Vikings’ roster in 2018 and 2019.

If Beebe is going to remain with Minnesota next season, he’s likely going to need to work some of his magic once again and prove that he’s worth keeping around.
