What can the Minnesota Vikings expect from the four players they added to their squad in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft?

The Minnesota Vikings traded down many times in the 2020 NFL Draft and they ended up with four choices in the seventh round. They used two of those picks to address holes on the defensive side of the football and the other two on offense.

The offensive picks were particularly interesting as they were both used at positions that hadn’t been previously addressed. The Vikings took a backup quarterback, and for the first time, they took a true guard, albeit one from a school no one in their right minds has ever heard of.

Seventh-round picks are always a crapshoot. More often than not, they don’t pan out. The Minnesota Vikings did find some success with their seventh rounders a season ago, as they hit on Kris Boyd, Bisi Johnson, and long snapper Austin Cutting.

They’ll hope a few of the players from this year’s seventh-round class can duplicate that success. Here’s what we can expect from the Vikings’ seventh-round choices of the 2020 NFL Draft.
