Cornerbacks (6)

  • Mike Hughes
  • Jeff Gladney (R)
  • Holton Hill
  • Kris Boyd
  • Cameron Dantzler (R)
  • Harrison Hand (R)

With a big-time lack of experience, Mike Zimmer is likely going to want to keep as many corners as he can for the Vikings next season. It will allow him to experiment and truly figure out who is best suited for each role in Minnesota’s new-look pass defense.

Undrafted rookie corner Nevelle Clarke is someone to keep an eye on this summer. He has the potential to impress and make the final roster just like Holton Hill did two years ago when he was also undrafted.

Safeties (4)

  • Harrison Smith
  • Anthony Harris
  • Josh Metellus (R)
  • Brian Cole II (R)

Assuming Anthony Harris returns, the Vikings better hope neither of their two starting safeties have to miss significant time in 2020. Minnesota doesn’t have a ton of choices when it comes to safety depth next season, so going with rookies Josh Metellus and Brian Cole II will likely be their best option.

Specialists (3)

  • Dan Bailey (K)
  • Britton Colquitt (P)
  • Austin Cutting (LS)

After the debacle that was the Vikings’ attempt to find a new kicker last summer, the team is going to keep all of their fifth-round picks and stick with Dan Bailey for another season.

Bailey’s chemistry with Britton Colquitt as his holder and Austin Cutting as his long snapper resulted in one of the best performances of his career in 2019. So, for once, Minnesota is going to leave their kicking situation alone and hope for a similar outcome next season.
