Week 16

New Orleans Saints (Away)

Despite the Vikings’ recent success against the Saints, coming out with a win in New Orleans is always a tough task.

During the last three seasons (not including the playoffs), the Saints have only lost two games on their home field to teams outside of their division. Before their two-point loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14 last year, New Orleans had won 12-straight regular-season home matchups against non-members of the NFC South.

Minnesota’s last road game against the Saints came back in January when they escaped with an overtime victory in the first round of the NFC playoffs. The matchup ended with a bit of controversy, so New Orleans will likely be looking to avenge their disappointing postseason loss to the Vikings during this year’s showdown.

Oh, and this season’s game will take place on the Christmas holiday, which happens to be on a Friday this year.

The Saints will be coming off a tough matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15. No matter what though, Minnesota will still probably have a hard time getting a regular-season win in New Orleans for the first time since 2008.
