No NFL team is complete, even after the annual draft. What are some potential needs for the Minnesota Vikings as we look ahead to the 2021 NFL Draft?
The Minnesota Vikings walked away from the 2020 NFL Draft with a ton of talent, adding 15 new players and a handful of undrafted free agents.
Still, the Vikings’ roster has some questions for the future as there are a number of aging veterans. The draft does not only bring in immediate impact players, but it also offers the chance to find key pieces for the future.
Minnesota has been lucky to have leaders in their locker room for quite some time now. Veterans like Harrison Smith and Kyle Rudolph have been a consistent presence in the Twin Cities. With Everson Griffen already out of the door, at least for the time being, it appears the Vikings are ready to get younger and cheaper across the board.
Minnesota also has a handful of holes already on their roster that likely will not be filled prior to the upcoming season. The 2021 NFL Draft will once again give the Vikings the opportunity to reload some talent onto the roster and compete for the NFC North title.
So what might be some of the positions Minnesota could keep a close eye on throughout the 2020 college football season?
