Former Minnesota Vikings receiver Matthew Hatchette currently has a podcast with Terrell Owens.

With their final selection in the 1997 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings decided to take a chance on a wide receiver from a small school in Oklahoma by the name of Matthew Hatchette.

Hatchette ended up earning a spot on the Vikings roster in 1997 and he went on to appear in 16 games during his rookie season.

Thanks to having guys like Cris Carter, Randy Moss, and Jake Reed ahead of him on the depth chart though, targets were pretty hard to come by during his time with Minnesota. But Hatchette still made the most of it and he had the opportunity to be a part of two Vikings teams that made it all the way to the NFC Championship in 1998 and 2000.

The former Minnesota Vikings receiver now co-hosts a podcast with Terrell Owens.

Recently, Hatchette joined the guys on Bleeding Purple to talk about his past with Minnesota and what he’s currently doing to keep busy these days.

During the interview, the former Vikings receiver shared a bunch of interesting info on topics that included the 1998 team coming up just short of winning the franchise’s first Super Bowl, Minnesota making a mistake by firing Dennis Green, what life might have been like for some of his old teammates if Twitter was around when he played in the NFL, and how he was close to becoming a part of the New England Patriots dynasty in the early 2000s.

Hatchette also shared some of his thoughts on the recent protests happening around the country right now and he gave his opinion on the possibility of the Vikings signing Colin Kaepernick.

Currently, the former Minnesota receiver co-hosts a podcast with Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Terrell Owens. The show is titled “Getcha Popcorn Ready with T.O. and Hatch” and people can listen to it pretty much any place where podcasts are found.

Despite Owens’ Hall of Fame resume, Hatchette has no problem with putting his co-host in check and disagreeing with something he has to say. On their show, they’ve had the opportunity to interview a number of notable guests including Larry Fitzgerald, Jerry Rice, Shannon Sharpe, and Chad Johnson.
