4. Mick Tingelhoff, center
Some players have a few amazing years in the NFL and can make a name for themselves in a short period of time. Other players are consistently great and earn a reputation for being one of the best to ever play their position. Mick Tingelhoff is the latter.
Tingelhoff played an amazing 17 seasons in the NFL, spending every single year with the Minnesota Vikings. During that time. he played in 240 games, starting every single one of those contests.
A member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, the combination of Tingelhoff and Tarkenton is something Vikings historians have likely seen a lot of. However, the center on his own made six Pro Bowls and was named an All-Pro five times.
Another thing to consider is that Tinglehoff was a member of the Vikings offensive line for all four of their Super Bowl appearances as well the 1969 NFL Championship team, providing some of the greatest seasons Minnesota ever had. Mick got close to bringing home a ring…but no cigar.
