Who will the Minnesota Vikings turn to if Dalvin Cook decides to hold out this year?

After proving to be one of the best running backs in the NFL last season, Dalvin Cook is looking to get a new deal from the Minnesota Vikings this year.

Some figured a new contract wouldn’t be that hard for Cook and the Vikings to agree to. However, the running back is now threatening a holdout if Minnesota doesn’t give him an extension before training camp.

While a holdout doesn’t seem like a very high possibility, the Vikings still have to take Cook’s threat seriously. Especially since Minnesota has basically built their offense around the talented running back.

But what if Cook actually does go through with a holdout and he ends up missing games? What sort of plan do the Vikings have to make up for his absence in their backfield?

Would Minnesota choose to replace his spot on the team with someone who is already on their roster or would they turn to a completely new running back? Let’s take a look at some of the guys the Vikings could turn to if Cook really decides to stick to his guns and stage a holdout this year.
