Which free agents have a relationship with a member of the Minnesota Vikings?

If everything goes according to plan, the Minnesota Vikings should be starting their 2020 training camp in less than two months.

The Vikings will reportedly begin this year’s camp on July 28 and then they will start the task of figuring out which players will join them during their first game of the regular season against the Green Bay Packers.

Minnesota currently has 85 guys on their roster and they can get that number up to 90 before training camp if they want. If the Vikings fill these five open spots, which they probably will, how will they do it?

Minnesota really has two options when it comes to filling out the rest of their roster. They can add some more undrafted free agents or they can look to add players with more experience by signing veterans who are still without a team for the upcoming season.

The Vikings will likely choose a combination of the two and add both undrafted free agents and unsigned veterans to get their roster up to 90 before they begin training camp this summer.

Of the veteran players who are still free agents, some of them have a connection to Minnesota a player or coach that could result in them having a better chance at landing in purple and gold for 2020. Who are some of these veteran free agents that already have a connection to the Vikings?
