Stat No. 2

"Dalvin Cook was one of two players in the NFL during 2019 to exceed the 1,000 rushing yards,10 touchdowns, and 500 receiving yards."

If you play fantasy football in any capacity, you probably know that Christian McCaffrey was the other player.

But that’s it. No other player finished with these marks in each of the three categories. Not Alvin Kamara, Austin Ekeler, Saquon Barkley, Joe Mixon, Le’Veon Bell, Aaron Jones, Leonard Fournette, or Ezekiel Elliot. Some of these running backs met one or two parts of the criteria, but only Cook and McCaffrey met all three.

Cook’s exact numbers were 1,135 rushing yards, 536 receiving yards, and 13 touchdowns. McCaffrey exceeded the criteria (mightily) in 16 games, whereas the Vikings running back did his work 14 games.

Gone are the days where Minnesota jettisons their No. 1 running back off the field for third down during each game. That is because Cook is an efficient pass-catching running back. This stat is evidence of that and the swiss army knife utility he provided in 2019.
