5 quarterbacks who have always struggled against the Vikings
By Dustin Baker

Steve McNair (1995-2007)
Win/Loss vs. entire NFL: 91-62 (.594)
Win/Loss vs. Vikings: 0-3 (.000)
The Numbers:
- 3 games
- 60.5 completion percentage
- 188.3 passing yards per game
- 2 touchdowns
- 0 interceptions
- 1 fumble
- 95.1 passer rating
All three of Steve McNair‘s losses to the Vikings came as signal-caller for the Tennessee Titans. The losses occurred in 1998, 2001, and 2004. The average margin of loss was by 15 points, so the contests were never ultra-competitive.
Two of these losses took place at the Metrodome, an unfriendly venue for most quarterbacks not wearing white horns on their helmets. McNair was even injured in his final game against Minnesota.
McNair was a play away from forcing an overtime period in Super Bowl XXIV, he was later named a co-MVP of the league with Peyton Manning in 2003, and he earned Pro Bowl honors three times during his career.
But against the Vikings, he lost all three career starts.
