How many sacks will Danielle Hunter have with the Vikings in 2020?

Can Danielle Hunter have another big season for the Minnesota Vikings in 2020 when rushing the passer?
Minnesota Vikings defensive end Danielle Hunter has proven that he should be in the conversation when talking about the best pass rushers in the NFL. He is coming off back-to-back seasons of 14.5 sacks each and looks to be the team’s primary pass rusher for the 2020 season.
The upcoming season will be a different venture for the Pro Bowl talent. Despite being a possible candidate for Defensive Player of the Year, he will likely be without the assistance of veteran pass rusher Everson Griffen for the first season of his career and could be paired for Ifeadi Odenigbo as the team’s pass rushers on the edge.
Recently, the question of what Danielle Hunter’s sack total for the 2020 NFL season was addressed by Minnesota Vikings in a video on their official website by “the voice of the Vikings” Paul Allen.
During a game of Over/Under in the Pick 6 Mailbag, Allen was presented with the question of whether Hunter’s sack total would be above or below 15 for the upcoming season. Interestingly, the optimistic announcer took the under on that number.
Allen will likely be correct with this guess. Although it’s possible Danielle Hunter will have a career-high total in sacks in 2020, the pass rusher could see himself switching sides on the defensive line and should draw more attention from opposing offenses. For those reasons alone, he will likely end the season around 13.
Of course, Hunter is still young by NFL standards. He will turn 26 years old this year and is still growing and developing as a pass rusher despite already being a disruptive force when persuing an opposing quarterback. He will have plenty of opportunities in the future to break the 15 sack barrier in the future.
Do you think Danielle Hunter will exceed 15 sacks during the 2020 season? Or will he come up short of that mark? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
