5 eye-popping statistics about Vikings WR Adam Thielen

Stat No. 3
"Since 2016, Michael Thomas has 21 receptions of 30 yards or more. Adam Thielen has 23."
The trendy and topical talking point is to call Michael Thomas a “slant artist” or something of the ilk. Does anyone really believe he is not capable of stretching the field? Any criticisms of the yards gained by Thomas or his routes should aptly be referred to play-calling or ball-throwing, i.e. Sean Payton or Drew Brees.
Thomas is a dynamic pass-catcher. Currently, he is the most sure-handed wide receiver in the league as evidenced by a voodoo-like north-of-80 percent catch rate in the last two seasons.
Despite the astronomical stats Thomas has stuffed onto his résumé during his career, he has not stretched the field quite as much as Thielen. And it is not just the receptions, it’s the touchdowns as well. Thomas has just two scores in his entire NFL career of 30 yards or more while Thielen has eight.
