The Detroit Lions should probably top this list if one gauges wins and losses as the most important quarterback metric. But low and behold, there are 52 other players on an NFL roster.
Cousins has toyed with the Lions during his career. To be fair, the specific Detroit teams he has faced have generally not posed a grave threat to the Redskins or Vikings. However, the Lions did defeat Washington in 2016 with Cousins under center. But in the other four contests, the Redskins and Vikings easily beat Detroit by two scores or more.
119 quarterbacks have attempted 80 or more passes against the Lions in NFL history and Cousins’ 120.2 passer rating is the second-highest of all-time behind only Dak Prescott. Couple this ranking with his 4-1 record against Detroit and Cousins has been very dominant in matchups with Minnesota’s division rival.
In his five games against the Lions, Cousins accumulated a total of 1,298 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, one interception while completing a blistering 76 percent of his throws.
