No. 2 – 2017, Week 15 versus Cincinnati Bengals

Teddy Bridgewater Returns.

This moment transcended football. The Vikings bludgeoned the Bengals 34-7 in this contest and in doing so, won the NFC North division for the second time in three seasons.

Sixteen months prior, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was beset by a cataclysmic knee injury in a practice session. The regular season would start 12 days later. For Bridgewater, the injury was career-defining. For the Vikings, the injury was franchise-altering.

On December 17th, 2017, with the Bengals all but vanquished, Bridgewater checked into the game in a relief role culminating his return to football. The 66,833 people in attendance proffered a raucous ovation for the 25-year-old quarterback. The in-game action was enough for Bridgewater to dips his toes in NFL waters once again, and he would depart Minnesota for the New York Jets 87 days later. He has since returned to the NFC with stints in New Orleans and Carolina.
