Ezekiel Ansah – DE

Ezekiel Ansah is no stranger to the Vikings. In 12 career games against Minnesota, he has dished out seven sacks, 16 quarterback hits, and 10 tackles for loss. He’s been a mini-tyrant since 2013 against the purple and gold–being apart of seven wins along the way.

The seven-year player from Brigham Young University only makes sense at the EDGE opposite Danielle Hunter if the Minnesota Vikings are not fully sold on Ifeadi Odenigbo. The assumption is that the Vikings are excited about Ifeadi, but this cannot be guaranteed until a depth chart is released in September.

Ansah is 31 years of age, has had two forgettable years recently, and will be cheap. He did, though, notch 14.5 sacks in 2015 and 12 sacks in 2017. He’s got it in him. A Mike Zimmer-led defensive unit could potentially extract and showcase his talents.

The Vikings do have quite a few defensive ends on the roster, albeit young ones. But it is not outlandish to hypothesize Ansah could be a fit and/or upgrade.
