DE Danielle Hunter

Danielle Hunter is an absolute freak who doesn’t need a great player lined up next to him to be productive. Hunter is a specimen who is incredibly strong, athletic, and smart. He’s got extremely long arms which he uses to create separation between himself on the poor tackle assigned to block him. He closes in on the quarterback in a hurry and has the strength to power past double teams.

What makes Hunter so good is his completeness as a defender. He understands that playing defensive end isn’t just about getting after the passer but also being a stout run defender. Hunter plays the run about as well as any end in the league and has great patience, opting to diagnose where a play is going before he attacks the ball carrier.

Hunter has had eye-popping numbers in his career since entering the league in 2015. He’s had 276 total tackles, 67 tackles for a loss, and 54.5 sacks. He’s truly an animal and at just 25 years old is now only entering the prime of his career.

Danielle Hunter is one of those rare types of players that only come around once a decade. He’s so physically gifted that no matter who plays next to him, he’ll always find a way to produce impressive numbers.
