LB Eric Kendricks

Eric Kendricks is a flat out stallion and doesn’t get nearly the love league-wide that he deserves. Not only is he one of the best defenders currently on the Minnesota Vikings, but he’s also one of the most independent.

Kendricks has been the definition of consistency in his 5-year career with the Vikings. He usually racks up right around 100 combined tackles a season and breaks up nearly 10 passes a year. He’s the Vikings’ best cover linebacker and proved it a season ago when he made some key plays that secured the team victories.

It doesn’t matter who is playing next to Kendricks or in front of him, he’s the type of player who is always going to produce. In his career, he’s played behind many different defensive tackles with Linval Joseph being the one consistent until this year. While he’s had Anthony Barr on his right side for most of his career, on the left has been a different story. He’s had quite a few different weakside linebackers line up next to him, and it hasn’t had a negative impact on his production at all.

Kendricks has shown he’ll put up eye-popping numbers no matter who is next to, behind, or in front of him, and that makes him one heck of an independent linebacker.
