Stefon Diggs (Buffalo Bills)

Stefon Diggs is easily the best former Vikings player who will be suiting up for a new team in 2020.

Minnesota dealt him to the Buffalo Bills this year and they are getting one hell of a receiver. Diggs not only runs crazy, sharp routes, but he is also extremely quick twitched with great overall speed.

He created a ton of big plays for the Vikings last year and averaged 17.9 yards a reception. Minnesota will miss him for sure this season and they will look to guys like Irv Smith Jr. and Justin Jefferson to try and replace his production.

There are some concerns about Diggs playing in Buffalo from a production standpoint. First of all, his quarterback situation is a downgrade.

Josh Allen is a nice dual-threat option, but he’s one of the most inaccurate passers in all of football. He has a rocket arm, with little touch, and he often sails deep balls 15 yards past his intended target.

This could develop into a volatile situation as Diggs sometimes got after Kirk Cousins for any of his overthrows. Diggs also has a weaker supporting cast around him and could he see a plethora of double teams in 2020.

The Bills also love to pound the football and win with great defense, so just because Diggs is in town, it doesn’t mean they are going to change their bread and butter.

Diggs is a talented enough player to overcome these issues and he should still have a very good season. But if anyone thinks his numbers in the cold, whipping winds of Buffalo will be better than what he put up with the Vikings, they will have another thing coming.
