3 ways the Minnesota Vikings can sign Jadeveon Clowney

Sign Clowney to a team-friendly deal
Admittedly, this is a long shot.
Jadeveon Clowney has been a free agent since March. What is the hold-up? The man is an upper-echelon EDGE rusher, but no NFL team has landed his services yet.
As the league gets closer to its Week 1 kickoff date, the stranger and stranger it gets that Clowney remains unemployed.
If it’s true that teams are not interested in giving him more than $15 million annually, perhaps Clowney would join a contending team with his eye on cashing in during the 2021 free agency period. It would not necessarily be a “prove-it” deal as we see frequently from certain players, but it would exist in the same realm of thought.
As previously mentioned, the Vikings have around $10 million left to spend this year. Should Clowney take most or all of that, he could join Minnesota in a one-year capacity similar to what Sheldon Richardson did with the team two seasons ago.
