Who are some players the Minnesota Vikings regret cutting over the years?

The preseason for the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the NFL is all about figuring out the best 53 men who will help your team win during the upcoming regular season. Teams are constantly evaluating players every day in practice and watching them closely during their exhibition games.

Sometimes it’s easy to see who is going to get cut and who will make a team’s final roster. Other times, teams are forced to make very difficult decisions and cut a player they would have liked to have kept around if they had a few more slots available.

Occasionally, the Vikings have cut players that end up becoming stars in the league a few years down the road. Perhaps when they were with the team, these players didn’t show enough to earn a spot, or they were buried on the depth chart behind established starters.

Minnesota might not want to admit it, but there are some players they have let go that they would’ve surely had liked to use a mulligan on and erase that poor decision. Who are a few of these players from the recent years that the Vikings likely regret letting go?
