Kirk Cousins – QB

2019 NFL Top 100 Ranking: 78

2020 NFL Top Projection: 73

Conversely, the Vikings starting signal-caller will climb this year’s Top 100 list, but he will do so in baby steps.

Why?

Well, he bested his inaugural season (with Minnesota) passer rating considerably last year. His passer rating in 2018 was 99.7, which is tremendous. He made it even more tremendous in 2019 with an elite rating of 107.4. No matter how you dice it, Kirk Cousins was better in 2019 than in 2018.

The NFL Top 100 voters will recognize this. Cousins also won his first playoff game with the Vikings when the heavily-favored New Orleans Saints fell because of a few timely dimes trickled off the fingers of Cousins.

In a lesser degree of importance, Cousins led a halftime comeback of 20 points to help Minnesota shock the Denver Broncos in Week 11 last season. A halftime clawback of that magnitude had not occurred in the NFL in six years.

Despite the noise, players around the league know Cousins is a real-deal quarterback. He’ll make the cut.
