Eric Kendricks – LB
2019 NFL Top 100 Ranking: Unranked
2020 NFL Top Projection: 54
Welcome to the show, Eric Kendricks.
On the 2019 Top 100 rankings, Kendricks was on the outside looking in. That should end in a couple of weeks.
In 2018, the Vikings took a year off from sending players to the All-Pro team. In 2017, the team sent Harrison Smith and Xavier Rhodes to claim First-Team All-Pro honors. It was Kendrick’s turn in 2019 and he was the first Minnesota linebacker in 39 years to achieve the All-Pro recognition.
As things currently stand, Eric Kendricks is the cardiovascular system of the Vikings defense. Sure, the other organs and parts are vital, but Kendricks makes the defense flow. He led the team in tackles, was terrific in pass coverage (82.8 passer rating against), and habitually makes clutch defensive plays.
His All-Pro accolades will catapult him to the next tier of superstardom and a spot on the NFL’s Top 100 is the next notch on the ladder.
