What specific things need to happen for the Minnesota Vikings to win the Super Bowl in 2020?
With a win-loss record of 52-32-1 (.618) over the last five years, the Minnesota Vikings have the league’s fifth-best record. The Vikings have the defense, the quarterback, the running back, and the head coach to breakthrough. One would think a Super Bowl win has to happen sooner or later, right?
Nobody wins back-to-back Super Bowls anymore, so Minnesota has that going for them. It’s been 16 years since the New England Patriots knocked off the Carolina Panthers and then the Philadelphia Eagles during the following season to become repeat champions. Unless history reverses course in 2020, the Kansas City Chiefs are not a shoo-in to win Super Bowl LV.
According to the Action Network, the Vikings currently have the ninth-highest odds in the NFL to win it all in this upcoming season. If it’s any consolation prize, their 25-1 odds are the best of any NFC North team right now.
In order to actually win a Super Bowl in 2020, Minnesota will need four notable happenings to occur.
