No. 3 – Jarius Wright, Wide Receiver (2012-2017)

  • 40+ Yard Completions in 2019: Six
  • Percentage to Total Pass Targets: 2.60

This underappreciated talent had the gumption for important catches. He snagged six receptions of 40+ yards during his Vikings tenure, and most of them were tossed by Teddy Bridgewater. All told, Jarius Wright secured 153 receptions for the Vikings. He earned first downs on 67 percent of those catches. In many ways, he was a go-to guy when the sticks needed moving.

Of the 102 receiving first downs Wright notched in his six years with the team, 45 of them (or 44 percent) occurred on third down. How’s that for clutch?

Wright was not in the longterm plans for the Vikings when free-agent quarterback Kirk Cousins was acquired in the spring of 2018. The Carolina Panthers made a move and inked him to a deal that retains his services for two seasons. There, Wright grabbed 71 receptions in 31 games.

He is currently a free agent.
