In 2019, C.J. Ham had a great season that resulted in his first-career trip to the Pro Bowl. Ham appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings last year and his offensive snap total was the highest of his career since entering the NFL in 2016.

While he made the Pro Bowl and set some new personal records, his impact on Minnesota’s offense was still pretty small.

Ham was only on the field for 35 percent of the Vikings’ offensive snaps last season. Dalvin Cook was on the field for almost 60 percent of Minnesota’s offensive snaps in 2019, meaning he gained a big chunk of his rushing yards when Ham wasn’t even on the field.

Cook has praised his fullback numerous times in the recent past, but the Vikings running back also knows that he can still make plenty of plays without someone lining up in the backfield with him.

Ham’s position on this list isn’t really a knock on his abilities and what he is able to do when he’s on the field, it’s more of just a reminder that fullbacks typically don’t have a tremendous impact on a team regardless of how well they perform.
