Kyle Rudolph – TE

Kyle Rudolph has had a solid NFL career with the Vikings, there’s no doubt about that. When Rudolph retires, his name will be in Minnesota’s record book for a number of different tight end-related accomplishments.

However, it seems like as we head into every season, we’re told that this is going to be the year that the Vikings veteran tight end finally breaks out and has a monster campaign. If anyone has been keeping track though, this still has yet to happen for Rudolph since his career with Minnesota started in 2011.

Sure, he’s had three seasons with at least seven touchdown receptions and one year where he finished with 83 catches. But he’s never been able to put up the impressive numbers at a consistent rate like other top tight ends around the league.

Rudolph is entering the 2020 season as the fourth-highest paid tight end in the NFL. For someone who has only finished a total of five games with at least 75 receiving yards in his entire career (four percent), the Vikings are currently paying way too much money for his services.
