Vikings Training Camp: Candidates For Mr. Mankato 2020
By Nik Edlund

WR Dan Chisena
It’s going to be extremely difficult for an undrafted rookie to make the Vikings’ final roster this season. With no preseason games, the loss of mini-camps and OTAs, these youngsters are coming in with a distinct disadvantage.
One player who is in this boat is wide receiver Dan Chisena. Chisena didn’t produce much offensively during his time with the Nittany Lions, but he’s a former track star who excelled at special teams.
He is one player who could really stand out during special teams drills and turn the heads of the coaching staff. Chisena isn’t just fast, he’s a high energy player who isn’t afraid to put his body in harm’s way to make a play. In a regular preseason, he’d be a dark horse to make the final roster. This season he should focus on landing a spot on the practice squad and continue to improve his skills as a receiver.
While he is a few years away from carving out a role on this team, Chisena’s speed, tenacity, and reckless abandon should put him squarely in the hunt to be this year’s, Mr. Mankato.
