  • Harrison Smith

Harrison Smith has to be one of the most reliable players in the NFL. He has consistently been excellent at anything he does, no matter what head coach Mike Zimmer asks of him during each play.

The investment the Vikings made in Anthony Harris is big, but he has been a big-time safety the past couple of seasons. The combo of Harris and Smith should help the young cornerbacks as they grow and mature into their roles.

Minnesota had better hope that this duo can stay healthy and available because the depth past them is a little scary. Rookies will likely fill out the roster, and late-round draft picks are a bit of a gamble when it comes to the secondary.

Sixth-round selection Josh Metellus and seventh-round pick Brian Cole II are the most likely duo to take those spots unless undrafted free agent Myles Dorn can greatly impress in a short period of time during camp.
