What have we learned so far from this year’s Minnesota Vikings training camp?

This year, training camp for the Minnesota Vikings is nothing like it has ever been in the past. Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vikings have spent the early portion of their 2020 camp doing conditioning drills and getting everyone ready for when the full-contact practices begin on August 17.

Even with less to talk about on a daily basis, we have still been able to learn a lot about this year’s Minnesota team and what some of their priorities will be during the next few weeks.

One of the biggest challenges for the Vikings during their 2020 training camp will be creating ways to simulate actual game situations since there is no preseason this year.

With no exhibition games this summer, will Minnesota end up allowing tackling in their practices or will they just wait until Week 1 for their players to get hit for the first time? These are some of the tough decisions the Vikings will have to make before their season opener against the Green Bay Packers on September 13.

Until then, let’s go over some of the biggest takeaways from everything that’s gone on during Minnesota’s training camp so far this year.
