Spencer Brown – Northern Iowa (OT)

Spencer Brown is a name casual NFL fans probably haven’t heard about. Being an FCS football player at the University of Northern Iowa, Brown hasn’t received the recognition he needs to be getting.

Measuring in at 6-foot-9-inches and 321 pounds, he’s a monster! Add in the fact that he can bench 500 pounds and you have a guy that is a physical freak.

Brown is as athletic as it gets when it comes to offensive linemen. He has an excellent vertical set that allows him to get to the top of the arch before the pass rusher does. He also has a great counter move when the pass rusher works his way back inside.

Brown’s length is something that helps him out a lot. He can reach just about any spot at his position and protect the backfield.

Brown has recently been getting late Day 1 (first round) to late Day 2 (second and third round) hype from a lot of draft pundits. If the Vikings could land Brown in the second round, they would probably be thrilled.
