Caleb Farley – Virginia Tech (CB)

Caleb Farley is currently ranked as my second-best cornerback in the 2021 draft class. He is also considered a top-five corner and ranked as a first-round prospect by DynastyDraftRoom.com.

He has so many good traits that make him an intriguing prospect. The reason he may fall in the draft is that he’s dealt with quite a few injuries in the past. That’s something that could have been cleared up with another season under his belt.

Farley was one of the first big-name prospects to opt-out of the 2020 college football season and declare for the 2021 NFL Draft. It was a bit of a shock, but he’s likely a first-round pick come next April.

Farley is a well-rounded, polished cornerback despite missing some time due to injury. He’s smooth and fluid in his movements, and rarely do you see him take a false step.

He brings an alpha mentality to the boundary and looks to beat you with physicality. That’s something the Vikings need going forward with the departure of Xavier Rhodes this offseason.
