6 reasons why the Vikings will be better than the Packers in 2020

Vikings won’t finish with a 2-4 NFC North record again
Last season was the first time under head coach Mike Zimmer that the Vikings lost all four games to the Bears and Packers. Of course, anything can happen in 2020, but it would peculiar for this to happen again.
For this reason, Minnesota will likely improve from their 10-6 record of last season. In any given year, Chicago might be underwhelming, the Vikings could be lackluster, or Green Bay might be unremarkable. Even in those circumstances, the “bad” versions of these teams always play the other division rival with vigor. It’s just how the NFC North works.
Minnesota has too much talent and reputable coaching to lose four times to the Bears and Packers again in 2020. That, in a way, gives the Vikings “leverage” to allocate losses elsewhere.
Minnesota has other tough opponents this year such as the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If the Vikings can pull off at least a split with Chicago and Green Bay, it allows for some leeway to drop other difficult contests (although that is obviously not the goal).
These working theories compile to suggest Minnesota will earn more victories this year compared to 2019 and, therefore, increase the chance of winning more games than the Packers.
