4. Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears (2015, Week 8)
- End of 3rd Quarter Score: 13-10, Bears
- Final Score: 23-20, Vikings
This comeback was assuredly not of the huge variety, but it was influential in the scope of the season. 2015 marked the first time Mike Zimmer would win the NFC North as the Vikings captain. Without this comeback, the Green Bay Packers most likely would have won the division.
In this match-up, the Vikings and Bears engaged in vintage NFC North warfare. Each offense was respectable, each defense made plays. Bridgewater was modest with 187 passing yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Tailback Adrian Peterson ground out 103 rushing yards on 20 carries. Stefon Diggs caught his second career touchdown pass with two minutes to go in the contest. Diggs’ score tied the game.
Minnesota’s defense then forced Chicago into an expedient three-and-out plight. Bears punter Pat O’Donnell punted the ball to the Vikings, Bridgewater connected with wideout Charles Johnson for 35-yard strike downfield, and Blair Walsh kicked the Vikings to victory as time expired.
Bridgewater, barely legal to drink alcohol, did it again.
